ANTV Vietnamese Police TV channel goes on-air with Etere

Etere announced today another success in Vietnam: ANTV has chosen Etere Automation and its redundancy advanced technology

The Public Security Ministry has officially launched the An Ninh (Security) Television Channel (ANTV) choosing the Italian company. ANTV is the dedicated channel of the security forces intended to explore news and other issues related to public order; it will provide viewers with a reliable and timely overview of public security information and will encourage people to take responsibility for themselves, their families and communities. People’s Police Television Channel had marked new developments of the police, ushering in new requirements for information, education and force building. The channel will broadcast nationally and abroad 24 hours a day via cablevision, digital and satellite on Viet Nam Cable Television (VCTV), HCM City Cable Television (HTVC) and the Sai Gon Tourist Cable Television (SCTV). Moreover, the channel will focus on national defence activities, as well as other aspects of every-day life. Thanks to the cooperation of Tekcast, the authorized distributor of Etere in Vietnam, the customer has chosen Etere Automation for the launch of its new TV channel. Etere Automation is the most advanced, tightly integrated and cost-efficient playout software on the broadcast market. The main customer’s requirement consisted of having the maximum security and protection for their On-Air transmission, that’s why besides the famous Etere Automation playout software also an Etere advanced redundancy technology was added to the system. The system is fully redundant and also fault resilient, so that in case of a single component failure the on-air transmission is unaffected and the redundancy is partially preserved. Etere manages and leverages all the potential of the broadcast equipment used by ANTV which is mainly composed by the following devices:
• 6 Omneon Media Deck channels
• 2 VTR for ingest
• 1 Master Control
• 1 A/V router
