Etere now supports Windows Server 2008

ETERE Announces the Release of its Version 19.4 that Has Been Fully Certified for the Microsoft’s Windows Server 2008 Platform.

ETERE, a leading global provider of broadcasting solutions, communicates that since its new version, Etere 19.4, its products will provide full compatibility and support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008, the latest release of Microsoft's server line of operating systems that incorporates the latest network, management and security technologies.


Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is the successor to Windows Server 2003, released nearly six years earlier, and brings with it a number of enhancements that improve operating system performance, reliability, and manageability in distributed environments such as an Etere’s system, as well as prevention from system attacks.

Etere demonstrates, once again, that it goes hand in hand with technology, being one of the first broadcasting systems to assure complete support for the new Microsoft’s operating system. Following the ETERE successful certification for the new Windows Server 2008 platform, Etere increase its list of supported operating systems that includes Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003, and now Microsoft Windows Server 2008.


Since ETERE is a software based on the Microsoft SQL technology, its customers will be pleased about the declared compatibility, because Windows Server 2008 improves Microsoft SQL Server performance, and permit them to fully leverage ETERE and all its capabilities, thus having a strong, scalable and reliable broadcasting system, able to accommodate small, medium and large sized stations.

Etere suggests to its customers the combination of SQL Server 2008 (that is also fully supported by its products) and Windows Server 2008 to achieve a superlative platform for mission-critical applications as broadcasting systems.
